Background of Year 1 of the Lost Digidestined
After the end of Season 2(after the battles, not when grown up), Ken's family decides to send him to live with his aunt in Acamina, California. When getting there, he is placed in high school, as a junior, in some honor classes.
There, he meets Jenni, and her friends Brandy and AJ. Jenni notices interesting things about Ken, and hangs out with him. Ken gets a message from Willis, who remembered a old friend in California who may have seen his digimon before he moved to Colorado. Ken soon finds out that it is Jenni, and Hidimon reveils herself.
Hidimon is Jenni's partner, and had been with her since created. When Willis had created the digimon on the internet, he was paying attention to the virus that attacked Cocomon, and didn't see the digimon come back. It became Hidimon, and she went to Jenni. At that time, Jenni was 12, and paniced when she saw her. Hidimon fleed, and lost Jenni's digivice in the internet. It soon went to Ken.
After this discovery, Willis goes to California, staying with his cousins, which includes Jenni's boyfriend AJ. Jenni meets Willis, and they talk about the strange discovery.
Unknown to them, Daemon is breaking free of the Dark Ocean, and begins using his powers to control the three digidestined. He is unaware that Hidimon exists; he was trying to get Jenni before she got her digimon. The three are part of a whole group of Lost digidestined, and he is trying to stop them.
He takes the three kids to the Dark Ocean, and decides to toy with Jenni. He tells her to summon Gatomn, using his powers. Hidimon had followed, and uses her own powers to bring Kari.
Kari and Gatomon come, and fight Daemon while Hidimon frees Jenni, Ken and Willis from the spell. Hidimon sends all the kids home, and they worry about what he may do in the future.
One day, Izzy found a prophecy mentioning the crests.
"You must use courage
Friendships will grow
The love of digimon will help
Sincerely trust all
The knowledge of the group will expand
Your past is still reliable
Keep your hope
The light will grow
This is a miracle
Kindness will rule
It is your destiny
You are meant to be together
Determined to help
Confident in victory
Innocent to the evil
While unusually aware."
Jenni, Ken, and Willis talked about it. Willis remembers that two lines,"It is your destiny,You are meant to be together", seem similar to a coversation him and Jenni had when he got his digimon. They remember that a teacher, Mrs ticony, had talked to the kids, and her baby daughter played with them. Unable to remember her name, they talk about the crests. They decide that the line about destiny means Willis, for his digiegg. And Jenni would have Togetherness.
Daemon doesn't wait long to attack. He begins using his powers to regain control on Willis and Ken, and they soon disappear. Jenni and AJ are worried about their friends, and Hidimon takes them to the digital world to try to find the boys.
They find them in a strange factory, slaves to whatevver power is there. AJ son finds a small captive dragon digimon, named Dragomon. AJ breaks him free, and him and Jenni try to rescue the boys.
Daemon attacks the two, and AJ and Dragomon work together to stop him while Hidimon uses her powers to break Ken and Willis free. Daemon leaves, and Jenni and AJ get new digivices, and D-Terminals.
Soon, Brandy, who is Jenni and AJ's best friend, begins to start coming to the digital world. No one knows why.
Then one time when they are having a picnic with some of the other digidestined, a ghost appears. Brandy confronts it, and it goes away, to Primary Village.
The Lost Digidestined and Brandy go there looking, and soon get lost in a building set up to look like places that they would like to be. A small person named Ali helps them out of there. Then they find out that Ali was Alimon, who wanted to be Brandy's partner.
Then Jenni discovered that her brother's friend Pirelli had a D-Terminal. She discovered how to go to the digital world, but whenever she went, she was in a scary place. she asked Jenni for help.
The lost digidestined and Pirelli went there, and pirelli found a digimon there, lost. She helped it, and the digimon decided to be her partner. It was Canamon, a in training digimon. Canamon teleported the digidestined out of the darkness place.
One day, Jenni and Ken are accidentally caught by what seems to be the Digimon Emperor (which is strange because Ken is good now, so this isn't him). They go back home, but seem to act strangely, often returning.
Pirelli drags the rest of the Lost Digidestined to the digital world to look for them. They find Jenni and Ken working as servants for the DE, and try to break them free. What saves them is a teenage boy appearing out of nowhere, landing on the DE, and turning him to dust(turned out to be a spell by Daemon)
The boy was Brian, and he said that he was sent to the digital world by annoying teenager named Gateau Wazumi. The group investigates, but the only weird thing seemed to be that his name meant 'cake' in french, so he wanted to be called Wazumi.
Pirelli begs the group to go on a picnic, so they go, and the girls find Wazumi there. He captures them, and takes them to his lab, where he has Brian. He tells them that he needs them for a machine that will bring him back to life. Turns out that he was Wizardmon, and a boy named Dameon told him how to be human, and how to make this machine.
The girls break out and while trying to free Brian, he gets a digivice. The others arrive and Hidimon digivolves to Alomamon. She frees Wazumi from a spell on him to make him irrational, and he realizes that he is meant to be Brian's partner. He is brought back to life, and continues to live as Wazumi, so he can protect Brian and the others better.
The digidestined find a hole in the digital world, so they go through. On the other side, they find that some of them changed, while others didn't.
Then they met Ryo, a boy there. He's digidestined too, they find out they are in a different dimension. They notice that some of the group looks younger (brandy looks the same, and Wazumi is an illusion, and Jenni naturally looks younger)
Ken and Ryo talk about a past they had, and Ryo notes that Jenni seems alot like a friend he has, a girl named Jasmine Steele. They find their way home, and Ryo goes off exploring
The group goes exploring, and find a village nearby a tall tower. They find some of the other's digimon there, but they have no memories. They decide to go into the tower, but Pirelli decided that she will bring someone from a different place to the digital world. It is Sam, a boy who looks like Ken's brother before he died.Sam turns out not to be Ken's brother, and they go into the tower.
They explore it, and find nothing. But before entering the final room, Sam is about to rush in, and Jenni stops him to lecture him while the others go ahead. Pirelli lags behind to try and drag Jenni in, and Wazumi returns to the three, saying that something weird happened to the others. He creates a form of mind protection, and they enter, to find that Daemon has taken control of Ken, Willis, Brandy, Brian and AJ. The four retreat, back to the Real World to create a plan...
Jenni, Wazumi and Pirelli find that the others are now hanging out together, and hiding from them. They decide to send Jenni, Pirelli, and Sam to the digital world to investigate, but with Jenni and Pirelli looking like different kids, so they can say they don't know anything-Sam already did. Pirelli dresses up like Ponce, her 'boyfriend', and Jenni dresses up like Jasmine from Pokemon.
They go, and Willis spots them. He recognizes them, and they flee. But when they return, they find that a girl who looks just like Jenni came too.
She says her name is Jasmine Steele, but doesn't rememeber much of her past, except that she likes the idea of different dimensions. Based on similarities and Ryo's story, she decides that this dimension and hers(season 3) are almost parallel. Because of this, Jenni and Jasmine must be parallel forms, and Sam and Ken.
Since Pirelli can't figure out a way to sent the two back, Jasmine and Sam are stuck here for a while.
When JEnni, Ken, and Brandy (those two acting weird) have to go on a school field trip, Jenni decides to bring Jasmine. They talk, until Hidimon tells them that she's figured out how to get inside of someone's mind.
She takes Jenni and Jasmine into Ken's mind, and the two explore, until they find Ken, somehow trapped. They try to break him free but can't. They find a type of machine, and Jasmine's presence destroys it. The girls leave, and are happy to find that KEn is back to his normal self. But they can't find similar machines in the others.
ALmost giving up, Jenni and Jasmine look once more in Brian, and they find a soccer ball. The ball is destroyed, and Brian is normal. They try to find anything that can be the trigger in the others, and totally fail.
Hidimon annonces to Jenni, Jasmine and PIrelli that something weird is going on in AJ's mind. The three go look, and find that they are almost in a different world. JEnni quickly figures out that it is a Dungeons and Dragons setting that they would often play, where Jenni was Seraphina, a girl hopelessly in love with Gideon, a guy who didn't really notice. Jasmine and Pirelli are different characters from the same game. The girls find Gideon, and decide that is could be AJ. They talk to him, and Gideon breaks free.
They are flung out of AJ's mind, and find out that he is back to normal. But when they try to look into Brandy and Willis's minds, they are blocked out. Now they are totally unable to help that way...
The group tries to talk to Brandy and Willis, but they won't cooperate. The two begin to hid from the others, and begin some secret plan.
Jenni hears that their plan is going to happen in the digital world, so the group prepares to stop them somehow.
When the day comes, they find that Daemon almost has complete control over Brandy and Willis. In desperation, Hidimon creates psychic visions over the two, making them believe that they are incaged. Daemon refuses to help, while Jenni and the others talk to their friends. They manage to bring the Brandy and Willis out of the spell long enogh for Hidimon to create a pathway for Jasmien to destroy the spell inside.
After free, they clean us the mess left by Daemon's control over the two, and go home. The school year is now over, and they prepare for summer.
Jenni decides to work at a summer day camp, where Kenny and Ponce go. Her friend Michelle will be working there also.
Pirelli goes to a special camp in new york.
Brandy gets a job at kmart.
AJ stays home and hangs out with friends.
Brian goes to Colorado with Willis.
Ken and Wazumi decide to go to Japan, to visit their old friends.
At one point, Ken and Wazumi decide to go back to CA, but Wazumi thinks that he can teleport them there.
Wazumi messes up, and lands them in a forest in CA, far from Acamina. A teenage girl from Japan, Isadora, and her digimon Guilmon are there, and watch as the two go through another of Wazumi's spell portals. She recongizes Ken and follows.
The portal ends up in a bathroom in a park, this time in Acamina. When the three come out, they are shocked about Isadora. Jenni, who was standing outside, walks in and starts yelling, because two of the boys in her group were in here-Kenny and Ponce. The boys come out of hiding, and start happily talking. Jenni tells them to take Isadora to Wazumi's appartment, and takes the boys back to the group. During all of this, Michelle had been watching from outside...
The digidestined that are in CA meet up that weekend to discuss what to do about Isadora, and the boys(who were not at the meeting). They decided that Isadora could visit for a while, staying with Jasmine at Wazumi's appartment(who pratically lived at Brian's.) They would watch the boys, continue hiding the digimon, and see if anything new came up for them.
A few days after that, there was un unknown sense of something trying to pull the digidestined to the digital world. Knowing that they couldn't postpone it, the CA digidestined went as a group. To their surprise, all the other Original, New, and Lost digidestined were there, plus Isadora, Sam, and Jasmine.
Daemon appeared, and provoked an battle. After a while, a sort of portal appeared. The digidestined managed to push Daemon through, but couldn't close it. Isadora went through also, to see if there was anything on that side that would close it. SHe got a sense that it needed proper balance between good and evil;Isadora and Guilmon, and Daemon with his human form Dameon. The portal closed, but right before it did, a bright flash filled the area, but had no effect. When they started to go home, another portal appeared, leading to Sam and Jasmine's home. They went, thanking their friends, and promising to not forget them and to constantly keep in touch. They all went home, and the rest of the summer was normal.
