Personality
A very depressing aura eminates from him, unlike his happy-go-lucky partner Digimon, Sierramon. He is very kind, considerate, and empathetic to others. He isn't a loner, but can't open up to anyone very easily. Very vengeful to those who threaten ones close to him. No matter what the situation, he doesn't like being alone.

Background
An American with roots in Japan, he grew up living alone with his mother. He had no friends growing up, except an orphaned girl who dissapeared when he was only 8. The only thing he has to remember her by is his most precious posession, a small, rusty, metal key. He met Sierramon about a month before the D-Reaper incedent in Japan. He was aware of these events, but refused to take his part in them. A short time after that, Alan, along with Sierramon, were transported to the Digital world of the present, aparently caused by the jewel on his Digimon's forehead, since it started to glow right before they were transported.
